Found this after finding Charlotte Day living with grandmother Elizabeth Leat in 1881 in Marylebone. Then checked on Freebmd for marriages between 1861-1863., for 2nd marriage. 1861 Edward a widower so Frances/Fanny was his second wife, which explains the gap between William and Ann on the 1871 census. Folkestone Kent Barfield? I have her marriage certificate - that states her father's name and I traced her birth on Ancestry.

You haven't said how you 'know' the father's name....................... Equally, if you can't find her on a census, how do you know where she was born? Reg

I am trying to locate Jessie Day b1875 in Elham. The only info I have on her family is that her fathers name was Edward Day and her sister Charlotte Jane Day(possibly). I know that Jessie married Philip Peters in 1903 but I would like to know her mothers name. I have searched the 1881 census and looked on the IGI and familysearch - with no luck anymore ideas?
