Trying to find the parents of an Isaac Hartley born c1839 in Burnley, Lancashire. I think he should be living in Lancashire or West Yorkshire at the time, and I'm hoping he's with his parents. Many thanks. Mike.

That must be Burnley mistranscribed. He's on the 1881 census as born about 1839, but with the variety of dates around it may well be him. Could you try the 1841 or 1861 census maybe? Thanks for looking.

Can't seem to find the Isaac with same parents as in the 1861 one!! I'll keep looking. Have posted update for 41/51 for parents Richard & Sarah.

And any chance of being a pain and asking if you could look up an Ann Cadwallader born c1844 in Birmingham on the 1871 census? Should have a son Walter and could be in Cambridgeshire (but might not be!). Thanks again.

Ann wasn't born Cadwallader. She is on the census in 1881, 1891 & 1901 living with her son Walter (my grandfather). She is shown as a widow on those censuses. Trying to find her with Walter's dad, but having no luck. Thanks for trying. Looks like the birth certificate route will be required!

I had her down as maybe being an Ann Rogers who married a John Cadwallader in 1861 in Wolverhampton.
