Thanks Reg never thought of that. Another way of tracing this family hits the dust. Talk about brick wall ! no matter what I do I just cannot find this family. I don't want to give up but it seems impossible. Christine |

There wouldn't have been an Electoral Roll in 1916..............due to the First World War. Reg |

If you can find an email address for the reference library in both places, the staff there may do a look-up for you as you have a definite address. Helen Little Nell advised me to do this with Hastings Library, about an address I had on my grandfather's marriage certificate which I had just received. I emailed them at about midnight last night, and had a reply from them before 9.30a.m. this morning, giving me a list of the people registered at the address in the year I asked for, and also told me that my grandfather and his partner were registered there for 10 years before they married. Very helpful and didn't cost a penny. Kath. x |

I am wondering if it is possible that some kind person could do Electoral Register lookups. I am having great problems with this side of my family and wondering if this might help. What I am looking at is the address my Grandmother, Sarah Jeffery, was at when she Married. The first one is February 1911 10 Stepcote Hill Exeter The second her name was Sarah Anstead December 1916 22 George Street, East Stonehouse, Plymouth I am hoping on one or possibly both her Father Thomas Jeffery will turn up. I would be gratefull for any help Christine |
