hiya'll, i was wondering if anyone can find Susannah Eleanor Wood (nee Graves) on the 1901 cenus, i have her on 71, 81, (91 When she married, george wood) she was born in 1870 Uffculme, devon, parents thomas and elizabeth, who moved to Hucknall torkard sometime after 71 cen as they are in hucknall for 1881 cen, she had a son, George Leonard Graves 1888, In arnold nottm, (father george wood), He is living with grandparents in hucknall 1901, no sign At all of susannah and george, I thought she must've died, but having searched thro complete index upto 1905 deaths, not a sausage any ideas???? can anyone else find them???? george was born in arnold 1866, any offers??

hiya glitter, i just found marriage as well, looks like i'm gonna have to order it, just to rule it out, seems very possible though, esp as all children come after his first marriage to susannah, and last trace of him on cen all i need now is susannahs death julie

A second marriage for George might explain why George b1888 is living with his grandparents. Maureen

hiya, seems like the likely answer, she died/abducted by aliens, child left with her parents, he smegs off and marrys someone else julie

hiya'll having slept on it, i decided to look at the death info, of george leonard graves, my grandad, the info i got was from the local paper in obituary section. it states that he died 1960, and was cremated, now i know that he didnt have any brothers/sisters with susannah/george, but having read it again, it states floral tributes:: SISTER- Sarah, BROTHER- Albert, (now a Sarah was mentioned in 1901 cen, if George sr remarried), am i clutching at straws????? i know when he married he had 4 daughters and 2 sons, one of the daughters he named Annie, after his grannie????Annie guy? anyway thought i'd let you know, i'm gonna have to get this marriage cert now, then i can track from there, once again thanx to all who looked last night :)) Julie
