Find Ancestors

Have no credit on Scotlands People ... and cut my credit card up the other day :-( ... can anyone help ?? see below ...

Have a birth of: Euphemia Thomson (Female) 1904 Possibly Edinburgh???? (This is where she married) Parents: James Thomson b Scotland Isabella Ross. b Scotland. I can not understand WHY I have no further info - like actual dob etc etc ... I can only presume that I did once have it, but lost it when my comp went down 18mths ago. Has anyone got facilities to check to see if the parents had any other children or when the parents got married ? etc ... or if the parents are on the 1901 together. ? Don't worry if not ..... Thanks in anticipation ... Elaine ;-) NB. Dawn Allen's resources DO NOT go upto 1904, so PLEASE peeeps, stop advicing me to add to her thread ........

Hi Elaine, There are 7 females with the same name born in Scotland the same year 1904 but none in Edinburgh. Its going to be difficult to find her unless you know the place of birth, she could be any of the 7 listed. Betty

Hi Elaine, Do you want me to copy the 7 I found it will just be one credit but it will give you the various places in Edinburgh the 7 Euphemia's were born and could maybe jog your memory. Would be easier to find next time too. Also thought I would mention there is 1- Euphemia married in Edinburth in 1903, could this be her??? Betty

Hi Betty, Really appreciate the offer, but due to the other info, I now believe she was born in Midlothian in 1905. Not sure why I know it's 1905 ? I must have not put all the date on the FT when I was doing it for some strange reason. I'm going to see if I can find BOTH halves of my Credit Card :-))) and use the number to get some credits on SP. I should have done it earlier - rather than ask others to search and use credits on my behalf. I think I was secretly hoping that someone would have the PR's upto and including 1910 :-) lol ! Appreciate the thought Betty, but I'm sure someone else will be more deserving and needy of your credits at some stage... Your a Diamond for offering though xxx Elaine ;-)

Euphemia married in 1925 in Edinburgh to my Gt Uncle xxx I KNOW I downloaded the image for the marriage, but I haven't got it any more - so I now need that as well .... oh well ... Did you download it through scotlands people, just they keep all your searches and images.

Ouch !! that hurts ... lol ;-)) NEVER thought to go and check on the site for previous downloads etc ... didn't know that you could ??? Best go and have a look round hadn't I !!!! Sorry girls ... Euphemia was 22 years old when she died in January 1926 ... which makes her death ( BIRTH ***** oh boy !!) 1903 or 1904. Can NOT understand WHY Scotlands People have NOT kept the images that I have downloaded and viewed before. ??? The only items listed for Searches and Images Viewed are from 2005 - NOTHING is listed previous to 2005, and I KNOW I viewed BOTH the Marriage cert ( or I wouldn't have Euphemia's parents details ) AND Euphemia's Death cert the following year - I have her date of death and I KNOW what she died off, so I MUST have had the images before now ??? Have to dash - back at 9 - 9,30ish xx Thanks ladies - you have both been a tremendous help x Elaine ;-)

Just to let you both know, that I have just purchased some credit ... :-) and found what I was looking for. The 1903 birth is CORRECT :-))) Euphemia Ross Thomson was born 24th May 1903 .... exactly 60 years before myself - we share the same birthday xx Found her parents marriage as well on 31 December 1897 ( registered in 1898 :-)) So I now also have Euphemia's Grandparents as well. However, Euphemia shares two Grandmothers and a Mother who all have the same name ...Isabella !!!... her Dad was a Merchant Seaman .... and IF Mum is one of the 3 entries on 1901 I still do NOT know which one she is of 2 possible's .... 1 is married to a Robert so NOT the correct one ... the other two are married but NOT at home with family, so I'm none the wiser. Have downloaded and saved BOTH images AND have uploaded the images to my website for safe keeping :-) !! Have 2 credits left - so NOT enough to go and download Euphemia's marriage again ... but I have found what I was hoping to find ... so I'm happy again now !! Thanks again to BOTH of you. Betty, ....
