Don't be alarmed by the subject matter, I am a male and have a problem in tracing one of my ancestors during a particular period of time. I have traced him on the 1861 and 1871 census, and then he disappears for the next 20 years, But his son appears again in the 1901 census. His name is Thomas Hutchings born circa 1858 in Holborn to a James and Susannah Hutchings. His son was also Thomas Hutchings born circa 1877. But I cannot find out when he got married, who his wife was and what he did for a living. The only possibilities I can think of is that he died young, was in the army or in prison. Any help in filling in the gaps would be appreciated. William
