BIVRI = British Isles Vital Records Index Set of 16 discs produced by Church of Latter Day Saints - similar to IGI - information sometimes the same, sometimes different, coverage varies by county - info on coverage can be seen on - http://www.genoot(.)com/downloads/BVRI2/ cost about 20 pounds. |

British Isles Vital Records Index. Like the IGI, it was compiled by the LDS {Mormons} and has 12 million births, baptisms and marriages for England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland and the Channel Islands & Isle of Man. It mainly covers 1538-1888. Coverage is not comprehensive and varies from parish to parish. I think its available on CD to buy and also online at the FRC. |

Can be purchased from the Church of Latter Days Saints website www.familysearch(.)org Version 2 is the most up to date version. Cost is approximately 20 pounds. If you are in the UK then you need to find the UK address on the website and order from there, cheaper than ordering from America |

Generally it is different from the Hugh Wallis / IGI - but occasionally you find the same information. Is it worth it ? - really depends on the counties you are researching. I have one line of rellies in Dorset and it has been invaluable. 20 pounds - so not too expensive. |
