Im looking for Charles and Polly O Brien in any of the census from 1871. He was a painter decorator. Im not sure where they lived though. |

Do you know where Edith was born? Was it in England? I can't find Edith on the 1901 census, so we need more details. Kath. x |

This looks like the family on the 1901 census:- Charles O'brien 27 Edith O'brien 4 Esthel O'brien 2 (think this is Ethel) Mary O'brien 27 Address Vine Cottage, Cheltenham. Source Citation: Class: RG13; Piece: 2461; Folio: 145; Page: 32. Charles was born Cheltenham, and Mary (Polly) in Staffordshire. Charles is a Painter and Wallpaper Hanger. Kath. x |

Think this might be Charles in 1891 with his parents and brother:- Alfred Obrien 39 Annie Obrien 38 Charles Obrien 17 Frank Obrien 4 Source Citation: Class: RG12; Piece: 2045; Folio 84; Page 27 Address 49 Townsend Street. Charles is a builder's apprentice. He's the only one I can find born Cheltenham at the right time. Kath. x |

This could be Ediths birth registration Births Mar 1897 O'Brien Edith Cheltenham 6a 412 birth certificate would give mothers maiden name, which would help trace the marriage. - and possibly Ethel¨s Births Mar 1899 O'Brien Ethel Cheltenham 6a 485 |

In the 1891 census there are a lot of Mary Taylor's born Staffordshire about the right time. Kath. x |
