Trying to do my husbands tree! Nightmare. I’m looking for Alfred Hayward born Sept 1845 in Bath Somerset on the 1871 or earlier census. Just fill in known details.....

I have Alfred's son Edward David Hayward on the 1891 born Bath 1865 occupation Mason. I don’t have Edward’s marriage or birth certficate. None of the family are on Family Search (?) birth/marriage records. I have Alfred Hayward on the 1881 as a Mason with a son Edward of the right so I am ‘assuming’ I have the right family (bad thing I know) but there are no other masons in the right area with right year of birth. Can anyone please help me get this family further back. Any help is much appreciated. Selena

I am trying to look for David first marriage to Leonora/Honora but I think this must be pre 1837 and nothing on family search (I think the family may have been catholic so perhaps thats why nothing on family search?
