I know the surname has a various amount of spellings Stellyes...Stelljes.....Stellges....Stellies and all of the above but with only 1 L but I have tried all of them with no joy for the two children uner births. I have James' marriage cert so I know the Father is correct but I only have the Mothers name from the 1901 census. |

Siblings James Stellyes c1882 Bermondsey Maria Dorothy Stellyes c1884 Bermondsey Their parents are Herman Stellyes c1856 St Georges in the East. and Mary Ann ????? It is the Mothers Maiden name I am trying to find. |

Are you checking the full images on ancestry or the partial index? Both the partial index and freebmd are incomplete. There is also the chance that the birth wasn't registered. Who are you looking for? Glen |

I have two people who I have found on the 1901 census and have a marriage cert for one but I want their birth records and I cannot find them on either FreeBMD or Ancestry. What am I doing wrong? Thanks Caroline |
