If Alexandra KNOWS that HECKFORD was born in 1881 , we are NOT in the right place. dont thick it is wise to asume HECTOR and Heckford are one and the same when the birth date is so far out 1891 if they are the right lot Barker Sam L Elizabeth abt 1847 Great Oakley, Essex, England Head Dovercourt Essex Edgar Sam L Barker, Elizabeth abt 1879 Great Oakley, Essex, England Son Dovercourt Essex Elizabeth Sam L Barker abt 1853 Great Oakley, Essex, England Wife Dovercourt Essex Laura Sam L Barker, Elizabeth abt 1883 Great Oakley, Essex, England Daughter Dovercourt Essex William Sam L Barker, Elizabeth abt 1881 Great Oakley, Essex, England Son for some reason, father has been listed as Barker Samuel, so all the children appear to have a father called Barker |

Hi Alexandra. If you have an idea that the older brother was Willie / William...That ties in with the census information we have been sending you. Send for the marriage certificate of Samuel and Elizabeth, then it will give her status, when she married Samuel and you can be clear about if it was their first marriage etc. Than you have some clear facts to go on with. Don't forget that the certificate should also give you Samuel's and Elizabeth's, father's names ( if known ) and their occupations. This may help you on your search, as you can check the households in 1841 and if you're lucky, Samuel might just have been born and be on that census as he is aged 50 on the 1901. Good Luck, Debbie O' -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
