Hi Irene Still waiting for that elusive postman to deliver, (still it has been raining here). I'm hoping it will be here very soon. If there are any addresses I will add it to the message, so please keep checking if you have the time Many thanks Janice |

Did you have an address on the marriage certificate - if you do I might be able to find them on the census for you. Irene |

I looked through 30 pages of St.Aubyn district of Stoke Damerel 1841 census returns and only one Gray, William. Have you trailed through all the pages of the census to find your gray family - it is worth a try. Irene |

Kerri´s thread appears to be a recent one and she appears to be answering any queries left on the board. I know sometimes people prefer that queries be left on the board, rather than being sent by personal message. Nothing to lose - give her a try! |

There was someone on the boards recently offering Plymouth look ups. I am sure Stoke Damerel was included. Will see if I can find the thread. |

Hi Nell Already contacted them, but they said a reply with estimate of the cost of prints will be within the next 28 days. Thought I would see if anyone here had access to parish records I don't to date have a connection with Stoke Newington but I will bear you in mind if I find one of mine there. Mine moved from Devonport to Deptford, (some were b Stafford) then ended up in Lambeth or Newington Southwark then Westminster London. Regards Janice |

Janice You could try contacting the Devon Family history society - or its equivalent - to see if they have transcripts of marriages. I got a list of all the marriages in which a (admittedly) unusual surname featured as bride, groom or witness for Buckinghamshire for £2 of the local society. nell My maiden name is Gray - father born Stoke Newington and his father & 3 generations further back all from Norfolk. Don't suppose we are connected?! |

No sign of the children in Devon. There are Grays in Stoke Damerel but none matching your names. Regarding the marriage between Thomas & Jenny, I think if you google you might well find a Stoke Damerel online parish clerk who could help. nell |
