Reg...your approach may not be scientific as you put it but it worked...I cross referenced the 2 Elizabeth's you gave me with FreeBMD Marriages and found a marriage for Alfred William (transcribed incorrectly) and Elizabeth S Legg in Jan-Mar 1873..being so new to this I was really pleased to sort that one out :-)) THANKS!!

Fiona...Charles and Eliza are Alberts parents so maybe I have missed a child of theirs but Albert has a brother named Charles who I haven't delved into yet...he was born Oct-Dec 1843 in Beaminster, Dorset. I wonder???

So it looks likely that Charlotte is wrong in being shown as daughter on 1901 - did check the image. Still not found a marriage to fit with Albert and Elizabeth. Sorry going to logout now but will check back later to see how this thread is progressing. Maureen

Looks like Charlotte and other children from Maureen's 1881 are the children of Charles and Eliza Edwards. Think Charles is Albert William Edwards brother. I think the 1901 image does read Edwards. Address 43 Dorset St Albert is shown as a baker Maureen
