Could I have a lookup for Benjamin Wood born 1856 in Holbeck, West Yorks please. Think he'd probably still have been living in the general area, as I have him there in 1881, he was a potter. I'd love to know if he had a wife and children...many thanks for any replies.

There's a possible on 1901 who is second husband to Margaret Miller, but that marriage took place 1892. He's a cloth worker though.

Stephanie - he's a slotter in a machine shop and is on the 81 in his own right with wife & child.

Rebekah - 1901 also has nothing which jumps out at me. There is the one I mentioned higher up the thread who is 2nd husband to margaret miller. The only way you stand a chance of knowing if this is your chap is hoping the MC says his father is john deceased. It's amj 1892 leeds 9b/634

Thanks Jools - the 1891 was great news, as I hadnt realised his brother William was widdowed so early. The 10 yr old boy John was Williams son. So I can now look for Williams wife's death, and also that of his fathers...thanks a lot!

Catherine
I have a Benjamin 1856, but not 1854. His parents were John Wood and Harriet Wray. Have no marriage details. The Wray were boat people.
