Find Ancestors

I am trying to trace a MARIAN BEARD through the census' She was born abt 1820 believe it may have been Westminster. I have her on the 1891 census but that is all. She is a visitor at 197 Kingsland Road with William Henry Beard, who I believe may have been her brother, and some of his family. I don't think she married. Any help appreciated - Sandra

Hi all I assumed she was William Henry Beard's sister but maybe she was his sister in law if she is shown as a widow, I don't have any other information about her unfortunately. Sandra

Gail Do you think she could have just used her name of Marian on the 1891 census then instead of her full name which I know there is a Jane Elizabeth Marian, I have seen her on a marriage certificate as a witness. Sandra

Hi Sandra I think it sound spot on, she obviously used whichever of her names she felt was in vogue at the time. I will recheck the 1881 to see if anyone else comes up. I will see if I can find her on the 1861. Regards Gail
