Blimey Tracey and Kath What a tangled web. lt was bad enough trying to find Zack Cowdell he had been transcribed as Jack. lt did ring a bell as apparently his father wanted to name him Jack but his mother wouldn't hear of it. l imagine he preferred Jack and used it when he left home. lt definitely seems a match to my contact as her Cleavins originate from Lincoln too. The one Tracy found in 1861 sounds good, especially as his father is called william and John Thomas called his son Thomas William, (on the 1871 census). How on earth we are supposed to find our rellies when they are mistranscribed so many times, goodness only knows, LOL. Kath. x

This is the only John Cleavin I can find anywhere in England on the 1861 census. It is in Heckmondwyke, but his middle name is Robert, not T. Perhaps his surname has been mistranscribed. I'll keep on looking. She is 26, so yes born c1875.

The address is 12 Orchard Place. Annie's age is given as 26, so that would give a birth year of 1875 or 1874 (depending on when her birthday was). Kath. x

Could someone please look on the 1901 to verify Annie Cowdells year of birth as 1875. Annie is wife of Jack (real name Zack) Mother of Bertha and Amy. Thanks in advance Pam Also could l have the address.
