Hi everyone, I've had so much help from the last message I posted I thought I'd push my luck and try again. I'm looking for help regarding the Wakfer's. Mary Malvona Wakfer is my Great, great grandmother and I've traced her back to the 1881 census. She is living in Penzance, Cornwall with her mother Malvona Wakfer. This is where I'm stuck. The census doesn't mention who the father is, or her mother's maiden name. Can anyone help?

Coming into this very late I know, but it is generally thought here in Cornwall that Wakfer is a variation of WAKEFIELD - although both names now exist in their own right. OC

Sarah, Haven't seen your other thread. Are you sure the Mary Wackford from 1898 is the same Mary Malvina in 1881? Do you have the marriage cert? Rose
