Kate's age on the census could be either 34 or 54, hard to read. However, the transcriber has put dob as ca 1857. She is a Widow living on her own means. Florence is 19, and Servant is written in occupation. There is an S in the column for relationship but nothing in the marital status column. This enumerator use Mar, Wid, and S for marital status ....... could he have put S for Single in the wrong column?? Just a thought! Sylvia

cant see her either ,must be mistrancribed or not indexed. I had grandfather not indexed on the 1901 altho we found him by a big trawl around the area we knew he lived then. census page was very clear when we found it but never did find him indexed

Yeah her maiden name was Bowman and she married Robert Bowman. Yet to find out if they were related. Leanne.

So was she a Bowman that married a Bowman too. you say she married a Robert Bowman in 1891 ??

Either in the 1891 or 1901 she was known as Florrie, but her full name was Florence Eliza Sarah Harriet Bowman (quite a mouthfull). I have found quite a few Florence Bowman's in the 1881 census but have discounted them as I have found birth's for those Florences'. Many thanks for helping. Leanne.

There appear to be at least two 'tribes' of Bowman families with children born Greenwich,no Florence though
