Hi Pen could you possibly check findmypast or Ancestry for the following birth I am trying to find some info on 1901 Census about my grandparents but unfortunately I haven’t been very successful. My grandma’s name is Patricia Edith Cassidy and her parents are Edith Abbott & John (or Jack) Cassidy. My nan was born 1936 in Leeds West Yorkshire and had two siblings (that I’m aware of) Sheila & Jack (John). I have not found him on the free BMD site or Ancestry. I think my g.granddad was born in 1897 I have found this information on a free BMD web site but I can’t find anything else. Thank you for any help Sophia

Hello Penelope Wondering if you could help me locate a Thomas Coates on the 1891 census. He was born c1887 in Craghead. His parents George and Grace on the 1901 census he was living in Kyo Durham. The father was a coal miner hence I expect to find them in the Durham area. Thank you. Regards Donna

Hi Pen, Thank you for your kind offer. Wondering if you would please have a look on 1891 & 1901 for my husbands Grandfather- ASCOTT HOLDSWORTH. I have only been able to find one birth on Ancestry for an Ascott Holdsworth & it said he was born in Halifax oct/nov/dec 1890, so I think this must be the correct one. Many thanks for any help/advice you can give me Pen, With Regards Katherine

Hi Pen once again thanks for teh info. Just one query, re Rose Allison b1866 the 1871 Census info you sent starts by saying Rose's dad was called William but then directly underneath it has her dad as Charles??? Also re trhe free BMD at ancestry how do i get that free as can only seem to get access by signing up to a free trial for 14 days leaqving my card details??? You also mentioned getting hiold of Birth Certificates, without sounding really dumb how do i do that , where do i write etc. Sorry for asking so many questions but this tree has me hooked for finding more info. Many thanks again Richard x

Hi Pen I would be grateful if you could find anything on the 1841-1861 census for the following person, im hoping it might be easier as he was born in Ireland: Peter lyons born abt 1813 Ireland living in middlesex. I think he was married to a Ellen also from Ireland but dont know much about him prior to 1869. He later married margaret cameron in 1869 and they had a child daniel cameron born 1870. They were living in finsbury - clerkenwell on the 1871 census if that helps. Anything you could find out i would be grateful for ,Many thanks Tracey :-))

Hi Penelope I am searching for definitive answers to my great grandfather ancestry. My great granfather was Charles William Hudson( b1889) born in Gainsborough Lincolnshire. He was marreid to a Lucy Leaning (b 1890) in Alkborough or Thealby in Linconlshire. They married on 17.5.1909 in Primitive Methodist chapel in Scunthorpe. His father was called William and he was a butcher. Any other info which can allow to trace back further would help as i am stuck at the minute. Many many thanks Richard
