Hello, i have a 1901 census image for John Fulford, b.1854 in Worcestershire, and his wife is kate b.1859 in staffordshire, they are living in Pendlebury area of Manchester, with there children, Sarah, Ethel, Betsy,Thomas Annie and William, then after william there is another child called Mary Ellen who is aged 20, and is down at 'daughter' but i just can't read what her surname is! it looks something like Masltose??? can anyone look them up and see what here name is? I would think Mattose or Maltose. Did you notice that the census taker started to write her name at the head of the family then crossed it out? Margaret
