John Bruce husband present at death Parents Archibald Pollock, Blacksmith and Margaret nee Connor deceased- These details are waht I thought from the igi Wonder why I can't find a marriage for James and Grace and why he is listed as a Collier in 1844- I wonder if he was a engineer at the colliery? Simone the first thing I would do is look at Grace's death certificate, I just did a free search on scotlands people & there is a death for a Grace Bruce (other surname Pollock) who died in 1859. Georgina.

Also I can't find a marriage between James Bruce and Grace Pollock, only one between James Bruce and Grace Mathieson in 1828. Am I going wrong somewhere? Thanks Simone
