Please? Details are for a C.H Askew which i believe the C.H stands for Christopher Harold. As i cant find his birth details. In the 1901 census there is a family which i think might be his but there is no Christopher theres a Christine instead. In 1924 he was 25 years old so was born abt 1899, 25 when he married a May Rosina Watts and was living in Batteresea. In 1948 he was living in the Feltham area as thats what is on his brother Williams Death cert. I do have addresses if they are needed. Hope some1 can help with this. Thankyou. Jo |

You WILL need the address as electoral registers are not in alphabetical name order. If you use Google and find the nearest reference library to the address (Google....'the name of town+library'), then you should be able to send an email to the library and ask them to check the address for you. I have done this in the past and have had lots of help. Some libraries charge a small amount for this but some will do the look up for nothing. Kath. x |

Hi Jo Lo. Looking at the page again it seems that the person that transcribed it may have made a mistake. The name Dommett may only apply to the father William but they thought it was everyones name because it has ditto underneath. Hope this helps & is the right one. Malcolm. |

Malcolm, Yes i was wondering about that because C.H Askews brother William has the name Waterman in his name and i thought maybe C.H Askew would to, if you know what i mean! Jo |

Hi Jo. Does C H Askew's marriage cert give the same fathers occupation as that on the 1901 Census? If so it looks like he is the right man. Sorry didn't reply last night, had to go to bed !!!! Malcolm. |

He may have changed his job,it was 23 years ago when the census was taken. What about the other children when they married, what was his occupation then. People changed their jobs often then. Malcolm. |
