Vera & Jim, thanks to you two last night, I've had a breakthrough. You two found out that the my Perkins family were down as PARKINS. Thanks to that I have now found the baptism of my gt gt grandmother Frances and her siblings. Also found her birth registration. I've been looking for about 3 years. Thanks once again, its really appreciated, Selena

I'm so sure the Taylor children are really my Perkins. I've managed to take Frances Perkins down to 1871, my direct ancestor. Getting past the 1841 is a nightmare. All your help is appreciated, Selena

Sorry Gail, I don't have anything in the way of numbers for the 1841, only the printout from the free trial. Took me ages to find them and many other members had tried previously. The address is 3 French Fields, Deptford Kent. Sorry! Selena

Gail, Vera just emailed me and the family are down as Parkins! Its amazing we ever find anyone. Still wondering why George Taylor is the middle! The children's names and ages definately match my Perkins. Thanks for the interest,

Thank you Vera, I will send a PM. Sarah was registered in St Nicholas District Deptford and I know St Nicholas church is not on the IGI - in care of the incumbant, that's probably why I can't find the births - for the early children or the marriage of George Perkins to Ann Hancock. Selena

Thanks Jim, the children do seem to be theirs, expecially twins Mary & Sarah. Must be a 'clerical' error. Wonder how George Taylor slipped in there. This is my brick wall family. Can't find anything on IGI for them for births pre 1837. Thanks again, Selena

This is the right family on 1851 living at Church Street, Deptford Kent George PERKINS, head 45, Stoker, born Hampstead Middlesex Ann, wife 41 John, son 15 Sarah, dau 12 Mary, dau, 12 Fanny, dau, 9 Charles, son 5 Harriet, dau 2 James 9 months This is an 1841 that I got a while ago during a free 3 day trial on ancestry. Living French Fields Deptford. Unfortunately I didn’t save the file to the computer, only got a printout. George Perkins, 35 Engineer Ann, 30 Ann, 10 George 7 Then says Geo TAYLOR 40. This is the last person at the bottom. Continues to right hand side of page John (taylor?) 5 Mary 2 Sarah 2 Frances 6 weeks. I think that these children should have been Perkins NOT Taylor. The only problem is that I have Sarah’s birth cert that gives George’s occupation as Fisherman. Do you think I have the right family on the 1841. Help! Selena

Children of family written as Taylor but should be Perkins, the previous household. Just copying in the details.......
