81 -91 and 1901 look up and help needed

i have searched the census's for my husbands grandfather i was told by my mother in law his name was robert edward brown born bristol in 1881 that is all she knew about her father before his marriage. searched 1881 census for him but couldnt find him my mother in law has found a small copy of his birth cert he was registered as edward robert brown bristol , barton regis sub district clifton i think hes showing up on the 1891 census under robert but dont now what name hes under in 81 as i need his parents names if theres anybody out there who can help i would be so greatful angie P.S on his death cert his names robert edward |
