Does anyone know any websites that would aid me in finding details of my grandparents birth & marriage information in India. I have the passenger list for a ship that they came over to England on, which gives their dates of births as well as thier 3 children. Any Ideas would be greatly recieved. Best Regards Viveka

Hi You could try this site below, take away brackets. Have you looked at the IGI? There are a few baptisms in India on there. Maureen http://members(.)ozemail(.)com(.)au/~clday/

Hello there is a fantastic website called FIBIS.
Just type this into a search engine and voila.
FIBIS stands for Families in British INDIA.
They have a wealth of information for any Anglo-Indians doing family research.
Good Luck

If you go to the Tips board, there is a thread on the very top about the IGI

www.familysearch.org/eng

follow this link, then across the top pf the page which opens you will see four little tabs, home, search, share and library. Choose search.
On the page that opens, you can enter the details in the box, which is for All resources. or choose IGI from the side and fill in the search there. Obviously you would be choosing India from the list
