jessie ann chapman carr was my mother. she was born in aberdeen in 1913. she has a sister, mary, born in 1910, their mother died when jessie was three. my mother was looked after by auntie aggie 9married to uncle andie) and auntie jessie, my great aunts. auntie jessie lived at 17 pitstruan place, where i enjoyed many summer holidays. i think that there was a cousin bernard, who had lost an arm doing convoy duties. we also stayed with uncle dave McKay, just across from pitodrie. there were also bob and nessie syme, and a daughter dorothy........and the name Slessor is part of the puzzle.........any information would be very happily received! |
