My grandfather's brother, HENRY STEPHENS, was married to MARION JANE nee BUCKLEY and living in Muswell Hill, London, according to the 1901 census. Marion was born about 1860 in Burton Overy in Leicestershire. I cannot find MARION BUCKLEY in the 1881 census. The closest that I can find is a MABEL BUCKLEY living in Elswick, Northumberland with her widowed sister SARAH ROWNTREE. As HENRY was also working in the same area it is a possibility that MABEL BUCKLEY and MARION BUCKLEY are the one and same person. If anyone thinks that MARION or MABEL is in their family tree please contact me. |
