My nan is Elizabeth Mary Simkins (now Silk) born 18/08/1927. Her dad was Edward Simkins born July 1888 and her mother was Elizabeth Lee born 3rd November 1888. My nan was born in West Bromwich but I don’t know where her parents were born. My nan had two brothers – John Edward Simkins 1907 – 1956 and Ernest Simkins 1912 – 198?. My nan was the youngest child – her brothers were 16 and 21 when she was born! My nan’s dad’s father died before he has born and he (my nan’s dad’s father) was the youngest of 13 children! My nan therefore knows nothing about her family and I would be very grateful for any information anyone may have on the Simkins or Lee family. |
