Hello Colin,
This could be a connection.
y 3xgt.grandfather was thomas beaver b.1801 in Thurlstone about 6 miles west of Sheffield.I Have yet to trace his parentsbut his son john was born in 1825 in Penistone a few miles from Thurlstone and his son Joseph in Hunshelf a few miles further down the Don valley towards Sheffield.Over the years registration districts probably changed as the population and industry grew andall 3 are probably in the same district.

THOMAS BEAVER, seeking his birth/baptism around 1760. His burial entry states that he was aged 63 when he died in 1823, which would put his birth at about 1760. He may be the Thomas Beever found in the Rothwell,Yorks.Parish Register or the one found in the Baptismal Register for--------(above Sheffield) I have a vast Family Tree which comes up to the present day.
