Trying to find Lee

I am trying to trace any descendents of KATE LEE who was born 1899/1900 and in 1918 was living with her brother in Gordon Avenue, Harrow Weald. In March of that year she gave birth to a daughter, my mother, in Boreham Wood, Herts and called her Gwendoline. Kate and my grandfather met when they both worked for Windsor and Newton Paints and at the time of my mother's birth Kate was working as a cook/domestic. My mother was raised by her father and his wife Mathilda (who was a very lovely lady). When my mother was about seven a tall man in a shop spoke to her and said 'And how are you Miss Lee'. At the time she knew nothing of her parentage but we assume this was probably her Kate's brother. I would dearly love to know whether there are any half uncles or aunts or cousins out there. |
