My great grandmother was Alice Green nee Symonds. Her mother was also Alice Symonds, wife of John Symonds, and she was born in Yardley in 1841.My grandmother Eleanor Martha Green was born in Kidderminster I think, in 1874-ish and married a Whitmore JONES, always known as Jack for some reason! My father, Alan Whitmore SYMONDS Jones, was born in Bradford, West Yorkshire, on October 2nd., 1908, married my mother, Hilda nee France, in 1934, and I was born in Chesterfield on August 5th., 1940. I'd love to hear from any missing relatives! I'm also trying to find records of the marriages of Alice Symonds and John Green, and of Alice Taylor and John Symonds. The latter probably took place in Yardley, but I have no details yet of the parents of either the bride or the groon. Alice Symonds and John Green were presumably married somewhere in Kidderminster, but I don't know the date, or the identity of John's father. His mother was Cecilia Ann Cary, from Gloucester. Please can anybody either help, or suggest further lines of enquiry which don't involve me in too much travelling, as I am slightly disabled. Thanks. Jenny Given |
