I am desperately seeking any of my relatives on my deceased mother's side :- My mother, Doris Amy Lax (nee Lee)was born possibly South Cave? near Hull on 14/01/1907 of parents Robert Harold Lee (deceased) / Amy Lee (nee Marwood and deceased). . My mother also had 2 brothers, Leslie Lee (died cancer) and Eric Lee (deceased) who was twice married. His second wife Joan is still living. My grandfather, Robert Harold Lee had a brother, Ernest Lee (deceased). My grandma Lee(nee Marwood) also had a sister whose daughter was called Muriel Langdale (spinster and deceased). On the 22/11/1928 at Sculcoates parish church my mother married my father, Roland Albert Lax,deceased (born 21/08/1904 in Hull 4 Grovenor Avenue, Wyndham Street) of parents William Edward Lax and Annie Lax (formerly Searby). They had 3 children:- Allan Geofrey Lax, born 11/11/1932 Died 09/10/1995 Ronald Victor Lax(me) born 01/08/1936 Patricia Ann Lax born 06/05/1939 Our mother died aged 33 when we were very young of Peritonitis & Appendicitis on 20/03/1940 in the Kingston General Hospital, Beverly Road Hull and was cremated at the Hedon Road old cremetorium on 24/03/1940 with ashes presumably scattered there. Our father eventually remarried some years later following our return in 1945 from Stromness in the Orkney Islands where our father was stationed as a Lieut.Commander in the R.N.R. during the war. The above is the only information I have of my mother apart from a silver locket and a photogragh or two.I really need more information about her and her family members, past and present, and before I become "past" myself!! I'm very optimistic into receiving some very positive responses.
