Trying to find Thompson

I realise I have little information, but I am adopted and don't have much to go on. Trying to trace my birth father's family. His name was Mervyn Thompson, born in NZ about 1941. His father was a miner (so probably his grandfather was too) who either came out or was brought out to NZ from England, and was born around 1920. Mervyn's father had 4 other children to his first wife, Emma, and then married again and had at least 2 more to his new wife who rejected his first 5 children. Mervyn was the eldest child. I have very little information because the family fell apart after Emma's death and although I met Mervyn before he died he refused to speak of his father. |
