Welcome to the boards Kathryn.
Be sure to look at age of threads - under 'post date'. Elizabeth posted this almost 9 years ago and never posted again (anywhere!) so very unlikely she will see this.
You can check for other matches by using 'search all trees' (in search box above right).
If you need assistance you can start a thread yourself.

My Grandfather was George Leslie Maddrell from Cregneash in the Isle of Man.He was a MHK for Port st Mary and he was a lay preacher also. There may be a connection I'm not sure as Maddrell is an unusual name. He had a brother I believe and lived at Grenaby farm. My Father was the last Maddrell to be born there. good luck Kathryn

My grandparents came from the IOM and settled in Barrow in Furness probably in the late eighties though I am unsure of the exact date. I would really like to trace the ancestry Their names are John Maddrell born 1854 married to Isabella Watterson Great garndparents and John Maddrell born1884 married to Charlotte Perks. Any futher information would be appreciated
