I am trying to find relations with the family name Millier who may be a part of my family. my Great great grandfather was John Millier who was born in Somerset in 1836(approx).He left there in his teens and moved to Birmingham(with an uncle whos name was Thomas Farmer), where he became a master carpenter with his own business. I know that there are family who remained in the Somerset area, and some who were living in Weston-super-mare, but more than that i don`t know. As it is such an unusual surname i am also wondering about its origins, are they French or possibly Belgian? Any info. that could be sent my way would be very greatfully received. |
