	Dear Claire I think I can help with your research but I have just got back from holiday and we are about to embark on major alterations in the house. When I am back to normal I will contact you again, hopefully with some useful information. Briefly I can trace my Millier family tree back to 1784 in the Burnham/Brean area in Somerset although I have not posted all the info. on the Genes Reunited site. My branch of the family remained in Somerset. Betty Carey

Member Since: November 2003 Posts: 1 Send Message	I am trying to find relations with the family name Millier who may be a part of my family. my Great great grandfather was John Millier who was born in Somerset in 1836(approx).He left there in his teens and moved to Birmingham(with an uncle whos name was Thomas Farmer), where he became a master carpenter with his own business. I know that there are family who remained in the Somerset area, and some who were living in Weston-super-mare, but more than that i don`t know. As it is such an unusual surname i am also wondering about its origins,are they French or possibly Belgian? Any info. that could be sent my way would be very greatfully received.
