Hello, this is a bit of an offshoot from my direct family but I am interested in it. I had a Mary Elizabeth Stevens who married a Frederick Hearn born 1885 (her second husband) in 1907. He appears to be the son of Josiah Hearn and Roseanna Lavender. There seemed to be a lot of Lavender families around Ruislip which is where Frederick was born. There appears to be missing info on him in the census returns for various years. I have found a birth date for Josiah (but this could be incorrect) 19 May 1839 but the later census returns show him to be born in 1844. Any help would be appreciated. |

I am especially looking for information relating to my g.grandfather Methuselah Hearn who had sons William John b. c.1902, Samuel, Emmanual and George. Any information sought. |

Interested in communicating with anyone with Hearn Gypsy/Traveller ancestors. My family travelled mainly Middlesex, Bucks, Berks and Kent. Had unusual, often biblical names such as Mullinder/Elizabeth, Mark/Lucy, Emmanual/Sinnamenti, Samson/Richender, Dorcas, Myrenny to name but a few! Mine settled in Chiswick, W. London in the early 1900s while many settled around Ruislip, Middx. I am a founder member of the Romany & Traveller Family History Society which has members worldwide and now have contact with distant relatives in Canada, Australia etc., Interested in anything relating to Gypsies/Travellers. |
