Where can I look, the trail has gone cold Hello to all I have drawn a blank following my mother's father's family. The family was split up and therefore the 1901 cesus has not given leads. I have tried on other sites but with Smith being such a common name have drawn blanks He was Edward Arthur SMITH died 47 years of age in 1937, born I think 1890. My mothr who is now 85 years old writes that he was born in the Beehive hotel, within the "sound of Bow Bells", yet gives the address as Cadogan Gardens. From my look at a London map this seems far away from Bow Bells. He maried my maternal grandmother Elizabeth Allen on 5 August 1916 in Huddersfield Registry Office He had a sister Nance. a brother Alfred Thomas (Tom who died on 16/6/47 buried at East Sheen aged 63), a sister Daisy, (older than he was) and Edie who went to barardos and was fostered out when their father died, (it appears her mother died in child birth) Alfred the father seems to have married again but still stayed at the pub until he died . Tom was training to be a bar man at St John's Wood according to my mother. Any tips would be welcome. I have really appeciated finding a community of other searchers Regards Joan
