Member Since: July 2004 Posts: 0 Send Message	Wendy, my ggrandmother Florence Elizabeth Horsnell was born Abt 1854 in Essex. Her father was Charles Horsnell. All I know is that Florence came out to Australia. Probably doesn't help you though. Liz.

Member Since: August 2007 Posts: 852 Send Message	Wendy... I have Horsnells in Writtle, but a lot earlier probably than your grandmother's family. Do you know any more about names/marriages/dates? you can email me if you prefer. By the way, I found that originally the name was spelt Horsnail and the family were blacksmiths! Not sure if that is a coincidence or a derivation of the name!
