Hi, I am trying to track down information on my Great Grandma. Her maiden name was ISABELLA WILLIAMS and she was born c.1862 in Tankersley, West Yorkshire (according to the 1901 census but 1891 has it as Barnsley, Yorks and 1881 as Staleybridge, Lancs!) Her father's name was John and he was born c. 1837 in Sheffield, Yorks and died prior to 1891. Her mother's name was Kate. She had a sister called Hannah or Annie who was 2 years younger and married a Charles Kenyon in 1884. By 1891 they had 2 sons James and John. Isabella married John James Henthorn on 28th March 1891 at Crompton, Lancs and I know they had at least 2 children, Beatrice and Abraham (my Grandfather). If anyone can give me any further info on Isabella or her parents I would be eternally grateful. I don't seem to be able to trce her birth or the marriage of her parents at present so I have come to a dead halt in my research. Thanks a lot Jayne |
