Trying to find Gates

I'm trying to trace members of the Gates family living in the Portchester / Portsmouth area. I've managed to find lots about my great-great-grandfather's family who were all born in and lived in Portchester. My g-g-grandfather, James married a Helen Hibble in approx 1873. They had twelve children; Vernon, Beatrice, Malvina, Ethel, Oscar (my g-grandfather), Ruby, Gwendolin, Helen, Phyllis, Stella, Basil and Eric. Got the tree from Oscar to the present day, but if anyone recognises any of these names as that of a grandfather/great grandfather or mother, it would be good to hear from you (philippbarry at the hot address). I know very little about any of them except Oscar. At the time of the 1901 census, Oscar was living with Beatrice and Malvina in Battersea. Both the girls were Board School Teachers and Oscar a bank clerk. Ruby was a Pupil Teacher and living with her aunt, Julia Hansford in Portchester.
