Trying to find McLean

Mary Report 31 Jan 2004 19:44

Trying to contact any relatives of William McLean. He was born in Scotland in 1910 (Clydesdale) and was one of either 9 children. His parents originally came from Ireland. William came to Corby, Northamptonshire in 1934 with the Stewarts and Lloyds Steelworks. He married my mother, Margaret Irvine, in 1935 and they had 10 children. I am the youngest, born in 1949. My father died of lung cancer in 1967 and my mother died in 1986. There are only 4 of the children left, me, Agnes, Sam and John. My dad's brothers stayed in Scotland and three of his sisters moved to Corby. One sister, Cathie, is still here and is now 84. I have no further information about my dad's family apart from some names; Thomas, James, Nancy, Hannah, John,Mary,Maggie. I don't know the other uncles/aunts. I believe most of his family stayed in Scotland.
