Hello, I'm Jamie Timmons living in Perth, Western Australia but originally from Glasgow. I'm trying to locate anyone who knows of my paternal grandfather, Joe Timmons. Joseph Timmons. Born Glasgow 1921, married a May Gold (daughter of Mary Bradley). They had three children: Peter McDermott Timmons b.1942 - d. 1989 Raymond Gold Timmons b. 1948, Sandra Mary Timmons (now MacDougall) b. 1957, They lived in the Gorbals for some time. Joe and May's marriage had a dissolution of sorts around the 50's while the children were still rather young. He was never heard fom again (to my knowledge). However, we did receive a letter from him via the Red Cross about a week befor our departure for Australia. It was never followed up. Joe's son, Raymond Gold Timmons married Jane (Jean) Marie Donnelly in November 1968. These are my parents. Sorry for such a long story, but if there's anyone out there who recognises any of the names above, then I'd LOVE to hear from you. Jamie Timmons Perth, Western Australia |
