Hi Cheryl
My husband's family hail from the north east and we have the names john and james mccourt on our tree. The date of birth you gave does not fit at the moment but it is quite possible there is a connection. Let me know if you want any help.

Trying to find relatives of John McCourt. Born in 1914. He was from Durham/ north east of englad. his father was james mccourt and was a coal miner. any info please email. Many thanks Cheryl McCourt
