Member Since: July 2003 Posts: 0 Send Message	Interested in the GODDARD family that originated in Ely, Cambridgeshire. Other names researching include: COOPER, TUNGATE, TINGEY, FALLOWS, SAUNDERS. My research has taken me back to Burgess GODDARD, b. abt. 1815. He married Sarah Ann COOPER (her surname as per Boyd's Marriage Index) in 1836 at Ely St. Mary, Cambridgeshire. Children: Sarah Ann b. abt. 1837 m. Thomas John TUNGATE 1858 in Paddington, London. Children: Emma, Rosa. Henry b. abt. 1840 m. Elizabeth (? b. Rudham, Norfolk). Child: Henry, born 1871 London, Middlesex. Clerk to Lord Chief Justice as at 1901 census. Mary Ann b. abt. 1843 m. James TINGEY 1845 in Cambs. Children: William, James, Bessy, Thomas Burgess, all born Wereham, Norfolk between 1870 and 1879. Maria b. abt. 1845 m. David MURFITT 1866 in Cambs. John b. abt. 1848 James b. abt. 1853. Wife Eliza (? born Ely, Cambs.). Children: John, George, James. All born Cambs. James b. abt. 1852 m. Alice SAUNDERS 1876 in Cambs. Seven children born between 1876 and 1891: Sarah Ann, Edith Lillian, Mabel Minnie, Ethel, Sidney, Eleanor, William, Burgess. Burgess b. abt. 1855 m. Louisa Ann FALLOWS 1877 in Cambs. Children: Florence Alberta b. 1878. Hilda Gertrude b. 1880.
