Trying to find Buie

Grant Report 5 Feb 2004 17:01

Hi there, I am interested in making contact with anyone researching Buies on Islay, or Jura, from 1750 onwards. My main goal is to track down the parents of a Mary Buie who married my ggg grandfather Neil Campbell, in about 1799, at Bowmore, on Islay. Neil was a woollen weaver. Neill Campbell had at least two children to Mary Buie. These were Neil and Janet. Neil became a Baker. He married Janet(Jessie) Cameron in Nov. 1824 at Kildalton Parish on Islay. Neil went on to have a large family. I do not know what happened to his sister Janet Campbell.
