Hi there, I am trying to trace the descendants of Andrew Grant and Margaret Brown Cruickshanks. Andrew was born in 1845, in Inverness, at Stephens Brae. Margaret Brown Cruickshank was born in 1850 at Avoch. The couple were married at 34 High Street, Avoch, in 1874. Andrew was Butler at the tme of his marriage. He later ran the Royal Hotel, in Fortrose, Ross and Cromarty, Scotland. They may have had the hotel built for them. They had a large family. The children were, in order of birth, Andrew Walter Brown Grant, Walter Scott Grant, Charlotte Ann C Grant, Andrew Grant, Margaret Jane Grant, George Alexander J Grant, Louise C Grant, Quinton Brown Grant, John Mcdonald Grant, and Ann Georgina Grant, who was my grandmother.
