Trying to find Gudge

I'm trying to find links to a GUDGE family originally located in Stepney, London and possibly Bethnal Green, London. Quite a large family with several brothers possibly living around the Wapping district. A very strong facial similarity amongst the males. Dates of birth around ten years before and after 1922 possibly. My wife is a daughter of one brother (Henry, known as 'Harry') brought up in an orphanage in Deal, Kent. Subsequently served wartime in RAF as air gunner. After active service became London bus driver, then lorry driver. We tried unsuccessfully to make contact with family in 1980's. Henry knew that he had brothers but was unable to make contact with them for whatever reason. Henry died in the late 1960's. My wife would still like to make contact with her father's (and her) relations on email [email protected] . |
