Trying to find Ridley

We are trying to trace relatives of Malcolm Sharpe Ridley, a shoemaker and journeyman. He married Cesily Mary Brooks in 1892, living in the Benwell/Elswick district of Newcastle on Tyne. One of their children, Edith Ellen (1896) was my paternal grandmother. She married a Tom Nichol in 1919 but later left him, 'running away' with Henry Albert Redwood. As Edith and Henry destroyed all records and photographs related to their past lives, we know nothing about their families. If you are related in any way to Malcolm Sharpe or Edith Ellen or have any inforamtion to help us solve this mystery, we would love to hear from you. Many thanks! |
