My Paternal G/mother . Her name was Ellen Louise Dennyer. Her birth ia given as June 1897 in Hambledon she married John Hosborough Coweyof Hull he died in approx 1935. Johns birth is given as December 1887 in Sculcoates his mother Annie remarried in 1891 to John Wilson. Cannot find any trace of his father. They all lived at 55 Naylors Row. In the 1901 census Annie was 41 and her husband Jonh Wilson who was from Derbyshire was 60 John H was then 13. I can only guess that they met through the 1st war. He was a Seargeant in the army. When he died the the children where put into an orphanage until my Grandmother found them somewhere to live. Any info more than welcome. |
