Trying to locate members of my father's family Frances James Pearse dob 22.1.1929. He was born either out of wedlock or his natural father died. He was then put in a childrens home just outside Dublin and he remembers his mother visiting him with a man and two younger children in a pram and he believes one of those was called Kathleen. He was shipped to the Christian Brothers in Tipperary and eventually moved to a farm in the Tipperary area. He knows his mother wrote to him in Tipperary but the wife of the farmer wouldn't let him have the letters or tell him his mothers address. We have tried to trace through the children's homes records but no luck we have also found a birth certificate which would indicate his father could have been in the British Army who were based in or around the Curragh |
